Jeff Bloom

Jeff is originally from Boston, Massachusetts. He was educated at Newton High School, and the University of Miami, where he received his B.A. Degree in Communications. In 1976, he began commuting between California and Hawaii on business, and in 1986, made Hawaii his permanent home. Jeff was recently inducted into the Junior Achievement Hawaii Business Hall of Fame, has also been recognized as the US Small Business Administration's 2001 Small Business Person of the Year for the State of Hawaii and Ernst and Young Hawaii's 2000 Entrepreneur of the Year. Other awards include Pacific Business News 2000 Hawaii's Fastest 50.
Jeff is a member and past President of the Honolulu Executives Association, sits on the Board of The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, Enterprise Honolulu and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). In 2001 he was appointed by the Governor to sit on the Hawaii State Workforce Development Council where he is an active participant representing the business community. He is a member of Sales and Marketing Executives, the Association of Information Technology Professionals and a founding sponsor of the Hawaii Technology Trade Association.
Jeff's passion is mentoring and nurturing young adults with an interest in technology. He is the founder and chairman of HiTech Quest, a non-profit organization created in 1998 to identify, mentor and provide scholarships to Hawaii students who complete Internet, Networking and Application Development projects.
